We are thrilled to share our latest product updates for the first quarter of 2023. As always, we’re striving to deliver the best possible user experience, and with these latest developments, an emphasis on security measures. Let’s get into it!
Security Features
We have implemented several security features to ensure that our users' data is safe and secure. Admin accounts that have not been accessed for a period of time will now be disabled, and security policies for passwords have been implemented for user realms and admin users. Admin users are now obligated to create a new password upon their first login. Validation of inactivity time is also in place for logging in, which can be specified by organizations.
Integration with Zendesk
We have added an integration with Zendesk to streamline shared information between the platform and Zendesk. Users can create tickets that will automatically populate with their relevant information from their user profile.
Payments at the User Realm Level
We have migrated payment methods and gateways to be accessible at the user realm level. This means that you can use the same integration for different markets and put in different credentials for each realm. Each realm also now has its own configuration for payment methods.
Overview for Spaces
We have added an overview for spaces that allows users to see how many types and categories of each space exist without having to go into each one. This feature saves time when reviewing content at a higher level.
Data Tables
We have improved our data tables by changing the URL when filters are applied. This means that users can now copy and paste URLs to automatically filter the loaded view. We know that people working on the platform are often using productivity tools, chat applications, and others, so this change makes it much easier to share and collaborate within the platform itself when sharing links within other environments.
Minimal Template using Bootstrap 5
We are excited to announce a new minimal template that uses Bootstrap 5 for new sites. Upgrading from Bootstrap 4 to 5 provides numerous advantages, including better performance, improved accessibility, and new and enhanced features.
SEO Improvements
We have eliminated and cleaned up meta-tags that are no longer relevant, and now an excerpt field is available in any given content entry, making things better for SEO in pages.
Looking into the Future
We are currently laser-focused on the experience-related aspects of the platform, especially for financial services. We continue to listen closely to our clients and are setting priorities.
For example, with the scale at which channels built on Modyo are being managed today, we’re working on key feature refactoring to support those activities, such as integration with Salesforce, and internationalization for all major platform modules.
We’re also working on developer-specific features such as code splitting for micro frontends, and context awareness for the Modyo command line interface.
