Modyo Channels

Digital Channel Features

Manage digital channels with clean, modular, scalable experiences, separated from back end complexity. Create widgets that are easy to validate with customers, evolve over time, and function beautifully on any device.

Create Widgets to Build Digital Experiences

Build transactional digital experiences easily using Modyo Channels with widgets that connect to your APIs or Microservices.

Create a widget library, allowing you to avoid complex dependencies by reusing key elements when building front end customer experiences.

When you publish widgets into site layouts in Modyo Channels, the changes you make are modular, and independent from the rest of your digital elements. This helps you avoid large deployments that can put your channels at risk. Modyo powers Micro Frontends for critical portals and sites servicing millions of customers.

Layouts bring Widgets Together

Layouts consist of multiple widgets that you can drag and drop to create digital experiences.

Every time you publish a layout or widget, you can review the differences between the current version in production, and the one you're about to publish.

You can easily roll back to a specific version of a layout or widget should you need to. Every change made by members of your digital team is logged to show an audit trail of work done and digital channel output.

Main Features

Site Templates

Use Templates to modify the existing CSS and HTML in the current site design, or create your own. Designers can also upload their preferred frameworks at any time, as well as define custom CSS variables that impact the global look-and-feel of each channel.

Layouts and Widgets

Layout content and functionality comes from embedded widgets. Use each Layout to define a base grid where each widget can be placed, and define whether layouts are private or public, and use Targets for added personalization.

Widget Builder

Use flexible, responsive widgets to develop experiences for any device. They support Javascript, CSS, and Liquid Markup templating. This allows Modyo widgets deliver dynamic content and provide more functionality with far greater impact.

Liquid Markup Templating

Developers and designers can use Liquid markup to assist with creating the right layouts and functionality. Liquid can be used to define variables, insert snippets, apply filtering, and add control flow across many digital assets in the platform.

Search Resources
across Channels

Search using keywords, tags, and categories both on the back end as an administrator or on the front end as a user with ElasticSearch. Elasticsearch provides scalable search, has near real-time search, and supports multitenancy.

Workflows to
Protect your Reputation

Activate Workflows with governance rules so content does not go public without passing through a process of “Reviewing/Approving” by the assigned people within an organization. This process comes complete with comment history and state tracking.

Live Preview for
Easier Quality Assurance

Launch a preview of an as-live version of any site to fully navigate and review any and all changes before publishing. You also preview sites with changes currently being editted in templates to see how they may impact future versions as well.

Compare Differences on
any Layout or Widget

Prior to publishing, a mandatory review of the differences between any version of a Layout, Navigation, Widget, or Templates opens for users to review. These differences account for changes in code and settings, and are color-coded for easy reading.

Rollback or Reset Templates
Layouts and Widgets

For further risk mitigation and brand protection, rollback and reset allows admins to quickly reestablish any previous, stable version of a digital asset such as a Layout, Widget, or Template, should any unexpected events occur.
